Many travelers visit new lands exclusively for the thrill of sampling local cuisine.
And apparently, business travelers are not those people.
This month's quarterly SpendSmart Report from expense company Certify revealed that, sadly and not surprisingly, business travelers have an incredibly mainstream palate when it comes to eating on the road.
Their favorite hotspots include Starbucks (where they expense an average of $10.83 to their companies per visit) and Olive Garden (which they rate with 4.5 of 5 stars). McDonald's is a go-to at most stages of the trip: at lunch and dinnertime, business travelers visit McDonald's more than any other restaurant.
Take a look at their rankings below -- and next time, maybe stick to room service.
