Yosemite National Park Sure Is A Sight To Behold

As rock climbers Kevin Jorgeson and Tommy Caldwell attempted to make history while climbing the nearly 3,000-foot-high Dawn Wall of El Capitan, all eyes were turned to Yosemite National Park. The two finished the record-setting climb on Wednesday after starting their ascent on Dec. 27.

But if you're not ready to tackle the Dawn Wall just yet, the park holds wonders for both the thrill-seeking and the novice traveler alike. The Department of the Interior put together this stunning list of some of the most striking vistas visitors can witness in Yosemite, which is open year round and turns 125 later this year.

Take a look at the photographs below, many taken with just an iPhone, and follow along with the agency on Instagram @usinterior. Even though they're finished, you can keep up with Jorgeson and Caldwell and their upcoming adventures using the handles @tommycaldwell and @kjorgeson.

Tunnel View in #Yosemite #NationalPark (@yosemitenps) provides one of the most famous views of the Yosemite Valley.
