We spend a lot of time in the bathroom. Roughly three years of our life, to be exact. To make sure we're making the most of that time (because, you know, showering and brushing your teeth aren't quite enough), entrepreneur Donal O'Conghaile has a few suggestions. But you'll need four basic ingredients: baking soda, vinegar, lemons, and petroleum jelly.
In these four household staples lies the potential to clean the toilet bowl, unclog the drain and disinfect surfaces, according to an infographic O'Conghaile created:
The goal? "To ditch all the single-use products stashed in your bathroom cabinets for simpler alternatives," O'Conghaile says. But he's also got a monetary mission in mind. O'Conghaile recently launched a Kickstarter campaign, where he's peddling his "life hack poster" and one other, featuring strategies for a better night's sleep. Check out his tips on being better in the bathroom, and more clever uses for baking soda in the slideshow below.
