Ahh, what a breath of actually fresh air.
The airlines with the cleanest cabins were announced Tuesday as part of airline consultancy Skytrax's annual World Airline Awards. Taiwan-based EVA Air took top honors in the category, winning the award for tidiest seats, tables, carpets and lavatories in the skies.
Skytrax didn't take actual germ counts into consideration, but instead weighed survey responses from more than 18 million passengers on over 245 airlines. And that's okay by us, because do we really want to know all the gross details of bacteria that may lurk on the tray table?
No, no we do not. The passenger-approved cleanest aircraft cabins in the world will do, and the top 10 belong to:
10. Hong Kong Airlines
9. Korean Air
8. Hainan Airlines
7. Japan Airlines
6. Garuda Indonesia
5. Asiana Airlines
4. Cathay Pacific
3. ANA All Nippon Airways
2. Singapore Airlines
1. EVA Air
Happy (clean) travels, everyone!
