Maybe airlines should pass out boxing gloves instead of boarding passes.
Video of another passenger brawl has surfaced, this time aboard a Southwest Airlines flight that landed in Burbank, California, the ABC affiliate in Los Angeles reported Tuesday.
In footage that another traveler filmed, two men can be seen wrestling into the seats before one gets the upper-hand and punches the other repeatedly. A woman and a flight attendant trying to break up the pair fall beneath them.
Burbank police said officers arrested one of the suspects, Chaze Mickalo Cable (also referred to as Chaz Cable), 37, of Lancaster, California, for assault and battery after Sunday’s attack, KABC noted. The flight had arrived from Dallas, Texas, and was scheduled to later fly to Oakland.
Southwest noted that three people, not two, were involved in the clash, according to the Los Angeles Times.
“We’re grateful to our employees who quickly reacted to break up a fight involving three customers,” Southwest said in a statement. “One customer had minor injuries, but was able to travel onward. We have no other reports of injuries.”
The cause of the altercation was reportedly unknown.
The brutal scene came to light as the airline industry deals with the fallout from several negative incidents, including violence that erupted Monday at a Florida airport terminal and a fist fight aboard an All Nippon Airways flight last week.
