...in flight above the San Francisco Bay you get an aerial view of the manmade ponds of seawater used to harvest salt. over the 5 years required for the salt to mature (through natural evaporation) it is moved from one pond to another; the colors are natural and differ depending on the salinity of the water and the different microorganisms that thrive on it. #viewfromabovecontest
